What counts as an agent?
One agent = one studio computer running the BuildDock Agent service. You can scale agents up or down at any time; talk to us about how many you need and we'll factor it into your quote.
What counts as a user?
One user = one login on the panel. Users have roles + per-permission slugs (builds.launch, projects.write, ...). Service-account tokens for CI / scripts don't consume a seat.
Can I try it before committing?
Yes. Early-access studios get set up with the full product so you can run real builds on your own hardware before deciding anything. Apply for early access or drop us a line and we'll get you started.
Can I self-host BuildDock?
The agent is yours regardless - it runs on your Windows boxes, uses your hardware, builds your code. The panel is hosted at builddockhq.com today. If self-hosting the panel matters for your studio, get in touch via Support; we'd like to hear the use case.
What payment methods do you accept?
Stripe (credit / debit cards, SEPA) and PayPal at launch. Invoicing on the annual plan available on request for studios that need it for accounting.
Refunds + cancellation?
Cancel anytime from your studio settings. Monthly subscriptions stop at the end of the current period - no surprise renewal charges. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled mid-term; we refund unused months minus any pro-rated discount.
VAT / sales tax?
Any quote we give you is excluding VAT. VAT is added at checkout based on your studio's billing country (EU reverse-charge for B2B with a valid VAT ID; otherwise standard rate applies).
Where's my data stored?
Panel + database are hosted on Hetzner in the EU (Falkenstein, Germany). Build artifacts never reach our servers - uploads stream directly from your agent to your chosen destination (Steam, Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive).
